My Favorite piece from the first semester is called Football. The genre of it is a poem. I got the idea for this piece form the Pittsburg Steelers football game I went to in October last year. It was so much fun; I would love to go to another one someday! The only bad part about the trip is that my mom had hurt her knee before we left to go and that made the trip a little more challenging.
Football
Is my dad’s favorite game
He loves the Steelers
And I do the same
My little brother and my mother too
We have our favorite players
How ‘bout you
Mine is Troy Polomalu
My brothers is Big Ben
Until mine got hurt
And was replaced by
Tyron Carter
You can probably guess why
But my dad is
Hines Ward
But also Stephen Logan
Because he played in our state
Isn’t that great
My mom’s is number 10
Because he caught a pass
From Big Ben
That won the Super Bowl again
That made him
The MVP of Super Bowl XLIII
This happens to be
My favorite players’ number
Troy Polomalu
That makes the Steelers
The greatest team of all time
Because we won the big game six times
And that is why I love the game of
Football
