Last weekend was very sad, yet very fun. The sad part about last weekend was that all my hockey games were canceled, but the fun part was that the Girls JV got to play the Peewees! It was very exciting, plus there was the benifet of the team getting better.
Some of the benifet are that they are really really good and most of them are younger than us so them betting us would make us mad, it makes us skate harder and want to win so we relize we can skate that hard, and that we an win if we try hard enough.
But that was last weekend. This weekend we had two game, but then two more make up games! We play the Yellow team three time this weekend so far, and tomorrow we play the Green team again. Here is how the game agains the yellow team went.
Our first game was on Friday after school and we thought it was going to be a tough game, but there GJV was really easy. I scored a goal(that made 2!) and most of my other team mates scored to! We have a forenextange student that scored he first game, and a bunch of girls that scored there first ones for the year to. I think the game was not far because almost all the girls on there team looked like they were 7, it was so cute! But the scare thing was that they were kinda good:) and the tried really hard. I had alot of fun that game.

The Green Team- Hockey
My blog is going to be about hockey; so I am going to start with my game I had last weekend against Pierre.
The Girls Junior Varsity had lost our game to the green team, 6 to 0, but our Girls Varsity creamed Pierre this is how my game went.
We stared out really well; we had ten shots on goal, and had the puck at their end. We keep shooting the puck on goal and the goally would catch it in her glove. It toke a couple times before the green team girl told it away for us and started heading down for a goal. She was one of the leading scorer on the green team, had the puck in a break away, (Not good!)she ended up scoring 2 goals in like 3 mins. This had lowered our self-a-stem, a lot. The rest of the game just went downhill for there, the only plus I had was I almost had a assists and two goals; But since that did not happen thing got worse.
This weekend we play Pierre again, but we play at home so we will probably win. We just can't give up and keep try that is the BEST way to win!

First Semester Portfolio - Piece I’d Like to Revise
One piece of my work that I would really like to revise would be my poem, "Camping." This story is mostly about my family's annual camping trip to the Black Hills in the summer; but it is about the over all camping experience too.
Camping
Camping for fun
It is like a whole other world
The camp fires
Smell of burning marshmallows
Shining night stars that light up the sky with a glow
And the moon as bright and cheery as a really preppy cheerleader
Marshmallows
The ones that burned and fell off the flaming hot stick
Tastes as amazing as that rich juicy hamburger
Great over that flaming bomb fire
Fun under the sun
During bright, hot, sunny days
You can ride bikes past smelly outhouses
Or play some family fun game like Frisbee or washers
Relaxation
Just sitting there and not having to do anything at all
Or the feeling of sleeping in till noon on a Wednesday
Camping is what fun is
Camping

First Semester Portfolio – Favorite Piece
My Favorite piece from the first semester is called Football. The genre of it is a poem. I got the idea for this piece form the Pittsburg Steelers football game I went to in October last year. It was so much fun; I would love to go to another one someday! The only bad part about the trip is that my mom had hurt her knee before we left to go and that made the trip a little more challenging.
Football
Is my dad’s favorite game
He loves the Steelers
And I do the same
My little brother and my mother too
We have our favorite players
How ‘bout you
Mine is Troy Polomalu
My brothers is Big Ben
Until mine got hurt
And was replaced by
Tyron Carter
You can probably guess why
But my dad is
Hines Ward
But also Stephen Logan
Because he played in our state
Isn’t that great
My mom’s is number 10
Because he caught a pass
From Big Ben
That won the Super Bowl again
That made him
The MVP of Super Bowl XLIII
This happens to be
My favorite players’ number
Troy Polomalu
That makes the Steelers
The greatest team of all time
Because we won the big game six times
And that is why I love the game of
Football

First Semester Reflection
My First Semester has help me out a lot. I has help me become a better student, helped me learn more about myself, and help me find out what I need to do to be more successful. But most of all the first semester has been very different from my years at John Paul II and that is good in some ways!
I grew as a language arts student last semester in writing with AWUBIS, my vocabulary, and my reading. I learned that everything we did this year about technology and I also have learned how to expanded my writing and reading with bigger and better things.
I learned more about myself this year so far then I have learned in like the last three years. Some of those things are, it does matter who I hang out with just as long as I have fun, I don’t need to be “cool” to have friends, and if I do my homework I won’t get in trouble.
To be successful I need to do my homework right away, not screw around in my SRB, and I need to get more organized and have it stay that way. I could also study a lot more then what I do now, and pay more attention in class.
